What You Can Expect

First Baptist Nixa is a caring congregation that welcomes anyone and everyone. We want you to discover the joy that we share when we come together to worship God in spirit and in truth. If you are planning to visit on a Sunday morning, here are some hints to help you find your way around and know what to expect.

Getting Here
First Baptist Nixa is located behind Braum’s Ice Cream on Hwy 160 and Wasson Drive. Wasson Drive is one signal light north of the corner of Hwy 14 and Hwy 160. From Hwy 160 going south, turn right on Wasson Drive, go 1 1/2 blocks and turn right into our parking lot. From Hwy 14, turn north to the first signal light, turn left on Wasson Drive.

Worship
Our morning worship begins at 10:15 AM in the auditorium. Our members will be happy to help guide you there. Please take the opportunity before the service starts to silence all audible pagers, cell phones, and watch alarms.

As you enter the our building , you will receive a big smile and a weekly bulletin. The service usually begins with an instrumental prelude when you can prepare your heart for worship. Near the beginning of the service, you will be welcomed by one of our ministers, but not singled out in any way. Please give us the opportunity to know you better by filling out a guest card. Please place the completed card in the offering plate when it is passed.

During the service, you can worship along with us by following the words that are projected on our big screen.  We strive to keep the mechanics of our service at a minimum so that you can focus your heart on the reason we're there - to worship.

Sunday School
Our Sunday School begins at 9:00 AM.
Sunday mornings, you will be greeted by a smiling face when you enter our building. These greeters can direct you to the Welcome Center where volunteers will help you find a Bible Study class that is appropriate to your age and life stage.
