The Gathering is the bi-weekly Sunday evening fellowship of praise and prayer at First Baptist Nixa. The Gathering is comprised of four main elements:
- Acoustic worship in which the gathered church exhorts and encourages one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in our hearts to God (Col 3:16).
- Brief teaching on topics of relevance to our congregation that are not ordinarily addressed in our regular, Sunday morning expository preaching ministry.
- Testimonies from the congregation of answered prayer, chronic/urgent needs, and evangelistic opportunities.
- Guided congregational prayer.
The Gathering is our church's opportunity to minister to and worship with one another in a more informal setting than our Sunday morning worship service. Join us on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of every month at 6:00pm.
