At First Baptist Nixa we highly value coming together each week to worship God corporately. During our worship services we sing, we pray, and we get into God's Word. Music is just one of the many ways that we can worship God. Romans 12:1 tells us that worship is not simply coming to church each week and singing a few songs, but that it's a living a life that is holy and pleasing to God. That means that what we do at church should overflow into our daily lives (and vice-versa). Let us answer a few questions that you might have regarding our Music Ministry...

We wouldn't classify ourselves as traditional or contemporary, but rather as biblical, heartfelt, and joyful.  We structure our worship services around the sermon text for that particular week, and seek to choose songs and styles that fit the text's message and mood. 

Yes, we have a praise band that plays during our Sunday morning worship service along with our praise team vocalists.
