a Word from our pastor

We are so glad that you have visited our website, where you will find a lot of information about who we are and what we believe.

But the most important thing to know about First Baptist Nixa is that we are a gospel-centered people, finding our identity and our mission in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is our DNA, forming the core of who we are and what we do. We treasure the good news that God justifies sinners by His grace alone, through faith alone, because of the blood and righteousness of Christ alone. We cherish the sovereignty of God’s grace, the freedom of His mercy, and the sufficiency of Christ’s saving work. And our joy and aim is to help others treasure Christ and His gospel as well.

If you have never visited First Baptist Nixa or attended one of our services, we hope you will consider doing so. We trust you will find us to be a welcoming, warm, worshipping people. If there is anything we can do to serve you or your family, please let us know. We would be glad to answer any question you may have. We hope to see you soon at First Baptist Nixa!

what makes us distinct?

Every church has a distinct flavor, certain truths about which they are passionate and which permeate everything they do.  At First Baptist Nixa, we have three major distinctives:

what should i wear?

Dress comfortably. Whether that's jeans and a t-shirt or a suit and tie, a dress or a shirt and pants. The point is, we don't have a dress code. Most people dress casually. Just be you!

childcare

We suggest arriving a few minutes early for childcare check-in. Childcare is available during all Sunday and Wednesday service times for ages 0-5.

what's the service like?

As you enter the building you'll receive a big smile from our greeters, along with a weekly bulletin. Be sure and stop by our Connect Desk for a special gift for first-time visitors.

Our Sunday morning worship begins at 10:15 a.m. in the auditorium (our greeters will be happy to help guide you there). Please take the opportunity before the service starts to silence all cell phones or other electronic devices.

Near the beginning of the service, you will be welcomed by one of our pastors, but we promise that you will not singled out in any way. We do ask that you give us the opportunity to know you better by filling out a guest card and dropping it by the Connect Desk or one of our offering boxes after the service.

During the song service, you can worship and sing along by following the words on the screen. We strive to keep the mechanics of our service at a minimum so that you can focus your heart on the reason we're there - to worship.

After the music, you will hear a message from the Bible.  Our service is generally over by 11:45 a.m.

do You have small groups?

Yes. Our CONNECT groups start at 9:00am. Our greeters at the Connect Desk will be more than happy to help you find a CONNECT group that best fits you. Click below to find out more:
